The "NEW RECIPE!" bag I got came with huge chunks of granola stuck together from what looks to be melted sugar. The color of it even looks terrible now, with deep browns that make it look like Honey Smacks cereal, not the granola I knew and loved. Also got to love that the "bearly processed ingredients" list on the old bag now just says..."ingredients". Now it's just...granola. Pass. Here was my original five-star review ("Light, tasty, and healthy; not your usual carb-fest"): I don't write a ton of reviews, but I feel compelled to counterbalance some of the negative reviews posted about this product recently (one of which isn't even a review of the product itself, but merely a complaint about the condition of the particular batch sent by Amazon). This granola is excellent. Light, crispy texture; nice cinnamon flavor that's not too sweet; and the nutritional profile can't be beat. I mix it with my favorite Greek yogurt for a delicious, high-protein, low-carb snack. Those who prefer chunky clusters of granola, or who pour sugar on their Cocoa Puffs, should look elsewhere. It appears they have changed the recipe. It now has more fat, more carbs and less protien for less of a serving. I looked at their website too and it was the only one listed. What a disappointment I have been using it because it's counts were pretty good for Granola now it is junk like the rest. |
